ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION completed the expansion of the second largest unit of KLABIN, the largest kraft paper mill in South America, in Otacílio Costa-SC. During the five months of completion were performed:

Unit of Otacílio Costa-SC was acquired by KLABIN in October 2000. It produces packaging paper
with a capacity of 350 thousand tons/year. It also markets logs of pine and eucalyptus. The forest area covers 138 000 hectares: 61,000 hectares of planted forests of pine and eucalyptus trees and 65,000 hectares of preserved native forest.
